A few readers are asking about routines. Some notice I’m up a wee bit early. And it’s true, so I’m lifting a little veil to share what the start of my morning looks like before the entire house wakes up.
I’m a creature of routine. And I love my mornings. An early bird by nature, I typically rise around 5:15 a.m. to start my day. With coffee prepped the night before, as I head downstairs, my first cup is ready and waiting. (Yes, I’m a regular black drip coffee gal at home.) Then, I grab my mason jar and fill with ice water. Can’t forget the roller and my Tinkerbelle slippers. Next: it’s puzzle time.
Silly to say, I have a very specific morning ritual around my Wordle and NYT crossword puzzles. After I turn on the main floor of the house, I settle into the corner of the couch in the sitting room and set the quiet scene perfect for puzzling!
Does everyone start with the same word in the morning? Fun fact: my first word guess was the FIRST WORD ON THANKSGIVING 2022! I about lost my mind.
And, if you’re not doing the daily mini NYT crossword puzzle (via your chosen mobile device), what are you doing? You’ll love it.
