Homemade Hamburger Helper and Seasoning

Homemade hamburger helper is a staple in our house. And the best part is that this dish comes together in less than 30 minutes. And even better is that the seasoning paired with a recipe card is the perfect extra homemade gift.

Ingredients:

1 pound of ground beef or turkey, cooked and drained
15 ounces tomato sauce
15 ounces milk
1/4 cup chicken stock
2-1/2 cups macaroni noodles, uncooked
4 teaspoons of hamburger helper seasoning*
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions:

  1. After browning and draining the meat, in the same pan, add in the hamburger helper seasoning until well-combined. Then, pour in the tomato sauce. Use the tomato sauce can to measure the milk and also pour into the pan. Next, pour in the chicken stock. Stir to combine
  2. Once the seasoning and liquids are added to the pan, turn the stove to medium-high. Add in the macaroni noodles and allow the pan to come to a boil.
  3. Once the pan reaches a boil, reduce to simmer and cover for about 15 minutes, stirring the dish periodically. After 15 minutes, check on noodles, and if tender, add in a cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Remove from heat and serve.
