If you know anything about me, just know that I am a fan of carrots. Full stop. And when I thought of all the ways in which I cook and bake with carrots, I never thought about creating something like this before … until now. I started peeling ribbons and thought to myself, this could be really great crisped up with some butter.
You have to try it to understand what I’m talking about … and if you love heat, don’t skip chili crisp. It’s delicious.
Ingredients:
3 carrots
3 tablespoons butter
Sesame seeds (optional)
Chili crisp
Instructions:
- With a peeler, start peeling carrots into ribbons. Then, season with salt and pepper. Massage in ribbons.
- Melt butter in pan. Let the butter get to a point of almost browning.
- Add carrots to pan and cook carrots about 5 minutes, until slightly tender.
- Add sesame seeds for crunch and chili crisp for a little heat. Twirl and enjoy!
