Banana Pudding

The easiest, most decadent dessert…and I don’t have a trifle dish so I use mason jars. Definitely easier to store in your fridge!

I shared this a few years ago, and it’s still the most delicious banana pudding I’ve ever had. I start prep on it the night before and the next morning, it comes together perfectly. You don’t have to do the prep the night before, but you can!

Ingredients:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1.5 cups cold water
1 – 3oz package of instant vanilla pudding
3 cups heavy whipping cream
1 box of nilla wafers
5 bananas
optional-butterscotch drizzle (this was a 1/2 cup warmed cream and poured over about a cup of butterscotch chips)

Instructions:

  1. Mix sweetened condensed milk and water in mixer on medium for a minute. Then add pudding mix, mix on medium for two minutes to remove all lumps. Add to bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Whip heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in firmed up pudding into heavy whipping cream.
  4. Get trifle dish and start layering. I simply used mason jars and this worked out perfectly! Start with waters and butterscotch. Then, cream/pudding and bananas. Keep layering, 2 more times.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Wafers will be soft. 🥰
